How To Make Sure Your Portable Restroom Rentals Remains Clean At A Large Event

After we moved into our home, I realized that there were a few problems with the plumbing. It seemed like no matter what we did, the plumbing was having problems, and I knew it had to be because of our septic system. After carefully evaluating the system, we realized that there were some maintenance issues that we were still struggling with. We started making little changes, and before I knew it, things were moving along a lot better. I wanted to create a blog all about septic services so that other people would know how to resolve challenges early. Check it out!

How To Make Sure Your Portable Restroom Rentals Remains Clean At A Large Event

If you are simply hosting a one- or two-day event, it can be relatively easy to maintain the cleanliness of your portable restroom rental. However, when you are holding multi-day fairs, festivals, marathons, or other events, things can get pretty hectic. Luckily, there are a few things that you can do that will make what seems like a completely out-there task a doable one. Here are at least four steps that you need to take as you prepare for your next large event.

Step #1: Make Sure You Have Plenty of Rentals

In order for your restroom rentals to stay clean, you need to make sure that you have the right number of them for your event. No one wants to be at your event, enter the restroom, and experience an overused porta-potty. Unfortunately, this is very common. A good rule of thumb is to have one portable restroom for every 100 guests at your event.

Step #2: Air Out the Restrooms Regularly

If your portable restrooms remain closed all day, an overwhelming smell will build up inside as the day goes on. To ensure this does not happen, you should put an "Out of Service" sign on one of the porta-potties, open the door, and allow it to air out for about 30 minutes to an hour. This circulation of air will do more good that you could ever imagine.

Step #3: Invest in Ample Sanitation Products

You can help prevent awkward smells and stains in your portable restrooms by ensuring they remain well stocked with proper sanitation supplies. If you are unsure how to acquire these supplies, your rental service should be able to assist you. The sanitation products that you will want to ensure you have plenty of from the beginning of your event include toilet paper, hand soap, hand sanitizer, air fresheners, and cleaning tablets.

Step #4: Order Additional Services

If you are well aware that your event will be a large gathering of people and is going to last for multiple days, then you should speak to your portable restroom rental company about additional services. These services can include anything from having the porta-potties cleaned to having them pumped during the event. While these services will indeed cost extra, the investment may very well be worth it in the end.
